Something in the Eyes follows a population of jackals living in Yarkon Park, an urban space at the heart of Israel’s largest metropolitan area. Through two opposing human approaches: Irit, a nature activist who sees the jackals as neighbors to live alongside, and Dr. Nuriel Shuv, the city’s chief veterinarian who seeks to manage and reduce the population out of concern for public safety, the film examines human responsibility toward wildlife in the city. It explores coexistence, fear, compassion, and the shifting boundary between nature and urban life
