Description
Felix and Pia, in their late twenties, spend a few days at Felix’s grandparents' vacation home. What starts off as a lighthearted getaway quickly turns tense, and an unspoken distance grows between them, one they both feel. When they finally open up about their feelings and future together, no easy answers emerge. The following evening, they find themselves at a nostalgic bowling alley, where a quirky older bowler shares a story from his life, offering them a new perspective on themselves.

In 2004, I moved to Germany with my family as a late repatriate, where I discovered my passion for filmmaking. As I grew older, I worked on numerous independent projects before starting my studies in 2020 at Bergische University Wuppertal, majoring in Audiovisual Media Design (Film) and Media Design. Between 2022 and 2023, I gained hands-on experience during a six-month internship at BWGTBLD in Berlin, where I worked as a Director's Assistant. During my studies, I created my short film IN BETWEEN, which was showcased at the International Film Festival Karlsruhe and the FICBUEU Festival Internacional de Cinema de Bueu. My latest short film ÜBER UNS will have its premiere at German festivals in 2025.
Director Statement
ÜBER UNS is my most personal film to date, exploring the highs and lows of a long-term relationship. It portrays the invisible tensions between two people, expressed through words, silence, empty glances, and intense eye contact. In everyday life, these subtle nuances often go unnoticed, but the medium of film has the power to capture and make them visible.
